In case one chooses to obtain a Nigeria visa, there are several requirements that need to be met. Firstly, you need a valid passport that has a validity of at least 6 months. Another travel document that might be accepted is a photo ID. You will also need a copy of your online application for a Visa to Nigeria and copy of the payment confirmation page. Included with your application should be a photograph of passport size. Furthermore, in order to obtain a Nigeria visa, a letter of invitation from Nigeria addressing the Visa Section, Nigeria High Commission London, will be necessary. This letter should state acceptance of full immigration and proof of being able to sustain one’s self while residing in Nigeria. Proof of sufficient funds must be available. You will also need to include a photo copy of the passport of the inviter. The applicable fee for the Visa to Nigeria and processing fees of £20 should be paid to the Nigeria High Commission, London. In case you don’t hold a British passport, you should submit proof of legal stay in the UK; in any other case you should obtain your Nigeria Visa from the Nigerian Embassy in your country of origin.
When obtaining a Visa to Nigeria for children below the age of 18, you should adhere to the accompanying requirements. For example, a Long Birth Certificate and a photocopy of this certificate showing the names of both parents should be included. The parents also need to sign a letter of consent, which should be enclosed in the application. Furthermore, a photocopy of the passports of the parents is required and the applicable fees should be paid. The other requirements remain the same for adults and children alike.
There might be some other factors that require your attention. In case you wish to travel by land and use your own vehicle, you should attach a copy of the vehicle particular to your application. When you travel through a different country before entering Nigeria, the evidence of an entry permit endorsed in the passport should be available. Sometimes, applicants for a Visa to Nigeria can be invited to an interview before issuing the visa. In case you got invited by an expatriate in Nigeria, a photocopy of his or her passport should also be attached. Multiple visas can only be obtained from the Visa Officer. Furthermore, in case the visa is for a minor whose parents are expatriates in Nigeria, a photocopy of their passports needs to be included. And at a last note; applications should always be accompanied by all the required documents, otherwise the application will not be accepted.
