Nigeria is becoming an increasingly popular destination for tourists and expats. Not only does it offer wonderful holiday locations, there are also several investment opportunities for tourists and businesses alike. For expats, Nigeria offers the possibility to work in several sectors, especially the tourism sector. However, to be allowed to work at all, one will need a Nigerian TWP Visa. Luckily, a Temporary work Visa for Nigeria is not hard to obtain; there are simply a few requirements that need to be met.
Firstly, in order to meet all the requirements for a Nigerian TWP Visa, you will need a valid passport with a minimum validity of 6 months. Other Travel Documents can be accepted too, for example a National Photo ID. Online, you will find a Visa Application Form, which you need to fill in and print, as well as the payment confirmation page. Besides that, you will also need a recent photograph of passport size, attached to the application form for a Temporary work Visa for Nigeria. These documents need to be included in your application. Furthermore, you will need an approved cablegram from Abuja, the Director of Immigration Services, which needs to be received by the Visa Section of the Nigeria High Commission, by means of British Telecommunication. It needs to be noted however, that a photocopy of this cablegram will not be accepted until the original reaches the office of the High Commission in London. Another requirement to obtain a Nigerian TWP Visa is a letter from sponsors in Nigeria that states full acceptance of immigration responsibilities. This letter also needs to be addressed to the Visa section of the Nigeria High Commission in London.
Lastly, you will need to show a return ticket to the country departure or proof of the booked ticket. Also, all applicable visa fees need to be paid for a Temporary work Visa for Nigeria, including a fee of £50 for processing costs. These fees should be paid to the Nigeria High Commission in London, by British Postal Order. Please note that you will only be eligible to receive a Nigerian TWP Visa if all requirements are met, therefore, any application that does not include all required documents will not be accepted.
